American musician, ZellaDay, returns with a part indietronica, part psychedelic track called ‘Man On The Room’.
A gentle nod to the era of the moon landing, the track will see a release as part of a AA-side 7″ single pressed on limited edition white sparkle vinyl on 18th November via B3SCI Records. Pre-order here.

Continuing the floaty and emotive theme in her videos, Alex Maxwell returns with ‘Letting You Know’.
The London-based 22 year old (yes England, not Sweden!) co-wrote the track with Max McElligott, the former frontman of British alt-rock band WolfGang, who has also penned records with The Naked and The Famous, and Kylie Minogue and Fernando Garibay.
Alex is working on her debut EP, for a release later in the year.
Sounds like: Susanne Sundfør, First Aid Kit, All Saints, Zella Day, Lana Del Rey, Kylie Minogue
NEDA (aka Tenielle Neda) is an Australian songstress with a huge background in music.
Having worked with Mark Myers (The Middle East, EmmaLouise), WayneConnelly (BoyandBear, CloudControl) and most recently Neal Sutherland (Bertie Blackman), NEDA is now independent and sharing her new material, which includes ‘Prehistoric Love’; a track written with Perth duo, The Opposite Kids.
What struck us the most with this song is her original vocals, playing carefully with minimalistic beats.
Her second EP is set to drop later this year.
Sounds like: Feist, Emma Louise, Charli XCX, Alice Jemima, Zella Day
Dotter is the project of Swedish animal rights advocate and vegan, Maria Jansson.
Not that Dotter’s personal choices should have an impact on whether you like her music or not, but her loving and Sixties attitude does spill across into her music, which can be described as all-embracing pop.
After collaborating with producers online, she decided to head to Stockholm: not only to study music, but to also to benefit from the potential connections that can be found in a capital city. “I found a guy who wanted to record a demo with me,” she recalls. “And then we fell in love, so I’ve stayed in his studio ever since.”
That connection with producer Dino Medanhodzic also sparked a rich creative partnership as they crafted her breakthrough single ‘My Flower’, her follow-up ‘Dive’ and this summer’s new track ‘Creatures of the Sun’.
Talking of the theme behind ‘Creatures of the Sun’ she explains “It’s interesting to think about all of the coincidences that led to us being here on earth. All of my ancestors before me have led to this moment. It could’ve been totally different. Whether you’re a human or an animal or a flower, every second in life we’re important to the earth. And when we die we go back to the earth.”
Sounds like: Susanne Sundfør, Zella Day, Florence + The Machine, Lana Del Rey, Abba
Meet 22 year old emerging London noir-pop singer, Alex Maxwell.
Alex was born in London but spent her teenage years writing music in Madrid before moving back to the UK to develop her music in 2014.
Her new release is called ‘No Flight’ and was, ironically, written with producers, The Flight (David Bowie, Björk, Lana Del Rey). The video is a mesmerising collage of charming colours and Eastern beats.
Alex is Hollywood Records’ first UK signing, and is currently in the studio co-writing and producing her debut album with Ivor Novello award-winning songwriter Carey Willetts (Athlete), The Flight and Dan Grech-Marguerat (Radiohead, Tom Odell, Wolf Alice).
Sounds like: Susanne Sundfør, First Aid Kit, All Saints, Zella Day, Lana Del Rey
The video has finally arrived for the fabulous ‘Be Together’ by Major Lazer, featuring the gorgeous husky vocals of Wild Belle‘s Natalie Bergman, who, in the video, is snuggling up to, you guessed it, Diplo himself (although it doesn’t end well for Diplo).
It’s another part of Major Lazer’s Peace Is The Mission collab.
Sounds like: MØ, Santigold, MS MR, Lykke Li, Zella Day
