Liverpool-based BANNERS (formally known as RAINES) releases the catchy ‘Shine A Light’.

It’s an indie pop anthem driven by grand instrumentals and ranging vocals.

Speaking on the track, BANNERS states:

“The song is about feeling lost at sea and desperately searching for a beacon of light. It’s about waiting for that one big wave to finally pull you under while clinging on to that one last ray of hope. It’s a song to the person in your life that offers salvation while the storm is raging around you.”

Glastonbury is arguably the most well established music festival location in the world. Doing their local residents proud is Dive In (aka Matthew Guttridge, Daniel Hayes & Adam Mason). New indie belter, ‘Eighteen’, has been produced by the band and Andy Green (Keane), and mixed by Alan Moulder (Royal Blood, The Killers). “Eighteen was born from a loop pedal jam in our old residence” explains frontman Guttridge, continuing “it was inspired by another day of watching the village’s festival fences go up.  It was the product of excitement and the, what some may call delusional idea that we could one day amount to the successes of the bands/aritsts that descend upon our village each year.”

‘Eighteen’ is the title track of their debut EP, out 25 May via Vagrant. The band have also announced a London show at The Lexington, London on 5 August. Tickets are £6.00 and can be purchased here.
