Yacht – Plastic Soul

YACHT

YACHT

Fun-kids YACHT bring back summer with new track ‘Plastic Soul’.

Currently based in L.A. (but originally from Portland), the core group consists of Jona Bechtolt and Claire L. Evans, but expands to include musicians Rob Kieswetter (aka Bobby Birdman) and Jeffrey Brodsky as touring members.

We haven’t seen much of YACHT since their last album ‘Shangri-La’ was released in 2011. However, this isn’t to say they haven’t been busy. Far from it, as they have been developing their own comedy sketch show based on “life on the rock n’ roll road, as seen through the eyes of its least glamorous participants: the opening band”.

YACHT have still found time to make a music video for ‘Plastic Soul’ and show that they continue to have more fun that us!

With the assistance of Buh and Power Violence, watch the $5K music video for ‘Plastic Soul’ below:

The track has been released via DFA Records.

Let’s hope another album is on its way…

Sounds like: Bobby Birdman, Shit Robot, Holy Ghost!, LCD Soundsystem, The Juan Maclean

Thomas Azier – Ghostcity

Thoms-Azier

Originally from The Netherlands and now located in Berlin, electronic-pop artist Thomas Azier has uncovered a cool new video for ‘Ghostcity’, which will appear on his debut album due for release in January 2013.The tune is a compelling disport, journeying through hope and despair with forceful synthetic melodies that hark to the sound of a future Berlin yet contrast with a sense of past desolation through being recorded in an old Soviet factory.

‘Ghostcity’ was released on 1st July 2013 on Vertigo, Mercury Music Group and this rather spectacular video shows the head and neck of the Azier with psychedelic coloured liquid metal special effect all over it.  It will be followed by a new ‘official’ video soon, but for now, we quite like this one!

Thomas Azier has already presented two superb singles ‘Red Eyes’ and ‘Angelene’ which put him well in the line of view of Indietronica and we can only hope for him to keep on producing these masterpieces.
