Zen Mantra is the musical moniker of New Zealander, Sam Perry (Yumi Zouma).

The video for ‘Remember You At All’ has been co-directed by Sam Perry with Ben Dodd, Frances Carter, and Lily McRae. What started out as a bit of fun, drinking red wine and having a competition amongst friends to see who could best interpret Michael Stipe’s dance moves in R.E.M‘s ‘Losing My Religion Video’, soon turned into a fog-fuelled, “low budget spaghetti western horror” video, with nods to Yumi Zouma’s debut LP, ‘Yoncalla’.

Zen Mantra’s self-titled album is out now via Flying Nun Records.
