Love Ssega releases ‘Minds’.
Some of you with a keen ear may recognise Ssega’s vocals. He was featured on Clean Bandit‘s ‘Mozart’s House’, which he also co-wrote as a former member of the band, following his time at Cambridge University where he studied chemical engineering.
It seems Ssega has also found some time to extensively study a decent tune. ‘Minds’ cleverly channels a mix of New Wave, 80s hip-hop and NYC disco into smart modern pop.
He is signed to Hometown/Sony.

IYES – Glow
IYES is Brighton girl/boy duo Josh Christopher and Czech-born Melis Soyaslanová.
It’s been a bit quiet on the IYES front, but they are finally back with a stunning track titled ‘Glow’.
The Kenny McKracken video for ‘Glow’ is just as cool as the recent Sony Xperia Z3 advert that the track has been featured in.
“The idea for the video was for us to look like we’re made from moondust, which we reflect,” says Melis. “We wanted something strange and amazing and unexpected that you can’t take your eyes off because you have to find out how it ends. We’re super proud of it.”
‘Glow’ is out on 22 December via Love by Mistake (a new imprint of Sony records run by the band) but can be pre-ordered on iTunes now.
