Echoes – All I Want (Dawn Golden Cover)

ECHOES

ECHOES

There seems to have been a slight shift to a more rock-based sound in recent months and Echoes are no exception.

Their sound is a cauldron of rock, indie and electronica.

The Dawn Golden cover of ‘All I Want’ starts of with atmospheric, ethereal electronic, and only kicks in 3/4 of the way through, but when it does, it gives us a glimpse of what Echoes maybe like live.

It’s also the first time they have sung together on a track.

Sounds like: Oh Wonder, Skies, London Grammar, The 1975, Banks, Fickle Friends, Monogem, Paperwhite, PROM, Kaleida, Sirena, 1987, IYES, Two Door Cinema Club, Until The Ribbon Breaks

I AM KARATE – Elevate

I AM KARATE

I AM KARATE

I AM KARATE is an unsigned Swedish electro pop dup comprised of Marta and Erika.

They originally met when singing in their local library, and soon realised they both shared a bond and desire for producing music.

Their latest track, ‘Elevate’, is audacious and efflorescent, and despite being wholly independent, I AM KARATE has managed to create a successfully commercial sound.

Listen below to be immediately lifted.

Sounds like: Say Lou Lou, MIYNT, Doe Paoro, Sirena, Susanne Sundfør, Shura, Kyla La Grange

Canadian producer, Tep No releases ‘Pacing’; a sun-kissed track featuring blissed out vocals.

He currently remains anonymous. However, having also established himself as a remixer for the likes of HUNTAR and Sirena, we are not sure how long his anonymity will last.

Vanbot – Seven

Vanbot

Yet another gem from a female Swedish artist (there is seriously no stopping them!).

‘Seven’ is the new single from Vanbot, which has been taken from her upcoming album ‘Perfect Storm’.

It’s got that deep and melodic electronic sound, with ethereal vocals and honest vocals that sets Swedish artists apart.

The album was co-written with Adam Olenius (Shout Out Louds, Lykki Li) and Jan Kask (Say Lou Lou, Tove Styrke) and produced by Johannes Berglund (The Knife, I Break Horses) and will be released in May.

After musical studies in Barcelona Sirena returned to her home country of Sweden to concentrate on her own music and appear as a vocalist and songwriter on a couple of EDM tracks

Working alongside producer, Kretsen, Sirena reveals her latest track, ‘Lunar Lights’. We love the strong opening synths, enthralling melody and Sirena’s airy vocals.

You’ll find Sirena listed under the ‘scandipop’ category.

Wildhart – Stuck In A Second

Wildhart - Stuck In A Second

Wildhart – Stuck In A Second

Not another Swedish band! Well, we can’t help it because they are all so good and Wildhart is a new favourite of ours.

Following on from their Swedish counterparts, Little Dragon, Wildhart’s sound can only be described as energetic pulse beats through an electronic haze of synthesizers.

The single was recorded at Svenska Grammofon Studion by Györguy Barocksai and Henrik Alsér (who has cooperated with Robyn, Kleerup and Alicia Keys).

Sounds like: Little Dragon, Kid Astray, Depeche Mode, Phantogram, Santigold, SBTRKT, CSS, Sirena
