Josefine – Dreamin’

Josefin dreamin

Josefine is the latest LA-based female pop sensation out of Stockholm.

She quicked built an audience with her first 5 singles, having already pushed over 15M streams on Spotify alone and features on Swedish national radio NRJ and UK national radio BBC Radio 1 with renowned curator, Jack Sanders.

Her brand-new single “Dreamin’” is an irresistible pop banger produced by Martin René (Meghan Trainor, H.E.R, Snoop Dogg, and Madcon).

Speaking about it, she says: “‘Dreamin’ is one of the personal and intimate testimonies for me immortalising those high endorphin and super nostalgic moments when you first begin to fall in love and you need to pinch yourself to see whether you are dreaming or not and whether this other human in front of you truly feels the same crazy feelings. I wanted to capture those butterfly-filled and super passionate and irreplacement moments which are engraved in time. To complement this, I wanted to make a song and production that just has super dancey energy to take you away from all the craziness of 2020 and dance the night away too.

Elina Eriksson – I Don’t Wanna Be Mad At You

Elina Eriksson

Swedish artist and producer Elina Eriksson sings about her own experiences within a long-term relationship on self-written and produced new single ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Mad at You‘.

The follow up to her debut ‘Discover Her‘, is a heartfelt song which explores challenges and struggles that can appear in a relationship with someone. Part scandi-pop, part modern r’n’b: this is a delicious comeback single you shouldn’t miss.

Speaking about the song, she explains: ”You have so much love for that person and the last thing you want is to be mad at that someone, that means the most to you. But certain things keep occurring and sometimes it’s inevitable not to fight. It will either bring you closer or it will take a toll on the relationship and might ruin what was so good about it, in the first place”.

RAINDEAR – Veins

RAINDEAR

RAINDEAR

Not another Swedish synthpop songstress I hear you scream!

But there is something slightly different and magical about this one. RAINDEAR (aka Rebecca Bergcrantz) is more than another indie electro femme from Scandinavia .

Her new track ‘Veins’ frequently changes tempo and is highly disco in parts. Not your usual ethereal ballad.

She describes the track as being “about that kind of destructive love that you stick with ‘cause you love the rush, but you secretly know it’s bad for you. This is the addictive kind of love you can feel for a lover or for a friend or anything really and it’s of the kind that is almost warlike and comes from a very dark place.”

Have a listen to the WTNSS remix too:

Thea & The Wild – Heartattack

Thea & The Wild

Thea & The Wild

Classic scandi-pop Thea & The Wild is the project of Thea Glenton Raknes.

‘Heartattack’ is the latest song from her album ‘Strangers And Lovers’. The melodic synth-based track twinkles with classic folk and pop.

“The songs I have made for this album is “pop” the way I like it; with clear choruses and lively melodies and rhythms. The lyrics may be a little dark, as I tend to write them from what struggles I have in my head. This is a record you can listen to while you dream of falling in love or reminisce about heartbreak”, says Thea about her upcoming album.

The success of her record in Norway has led to a UK release for the album ‘Strangers And Lovers’, released 12 January 2015 on Jansen Plateproduksjon. Order on iTunes here.
