Catchy hooks and gentle guitars leave you swaying for more on new track ‘Running Low’.

Premiere: Adam Jensen – DRUGS

Adam Jensen

Adam Jensen

Adam Jensen has many stories to tell about bar brawls, stabbings, guns and gangsters in his home city of Boston, but music has literally saved his life, having always being a central part of him from the age of nine, when he started playing piano.

Turning the negative into a positive has helped Adam get through some tough times, which probably explains the upbeat tone of his darkly-written songs.

His new single ‘DRUGS’ is not necessarily about drugs per se, but still shows signs of an addiction. We suspect it involves a girl.

Have a listen below, and we guarantee your heads will be bopping throughout.

Premiere: Techniques – Heinous Love

Techniques - Heinous Love

Techniques – Heinous Love

Techniques is the project of Manchester-based multi-instrumentalist, James Mulholland.

Like with all good electronic producers, James started creating and recording music in his bedroom, laying down drums, bass lines, guitars, synths and vocals all using one microphone and ‘whatever else was lying around’.

He has since released music on Kitsuné Music and electronic rumors.

Techniques is now set to share a fine slice of electro-pop, just in time for the summer.

‘Heinous Love’ is a juxtaposing slur of bittersweet vocals against floor-filling and driving synths. It has been produced by Mark Ralph (Hot Chip, Digitalism, Years & Years, Clean Bandit, Hot Natured, Foxes).

Techniques is also crowdfunding a vinyl release. Click here for more info and to support.

The track is out tomorrow.

Premiere: SPÖKAZI – Fire on the Mountain

SPÖKAZI

SPÖKAZI

SPÖKAZI has wandered on a musical journey, discovering influences from a myriad of styles and genres along the way.

The emerging songsmith releases his debut single entitled ‘Fire On The Mountain’. The alt-soul uptempo track tells of the slow death of a relationship – juxtaposing fond memories with the slow signs of the relationship’s inevitable demise.

‘Fire On The Mountain’ was written, produced and performed by SPÖKAZI and is the first single taken from his forthcoming debut project, ‘The Beautiful Struggle’.

“As my project rolls out, you will see how each song makes up a part of a coming of age story of sorts – one focused on the beautiful struggle we all go through finding our purpose, following our dreams and living as close as possible to our destiny.”

The video is now out (as at 4th May).
