One of our favourite bands of all time, Vök, have released the visuals for the title single off the new album ‘Night & Day’.
Their most comfortable space is in continuing to push boundaries, but with the video for ‘Night & Day’, the trio go back to old school roots to really capture the essence and atmosphere of their sound.
Watch below.
Sounds like: Björk, Kate Boy, Poliça, Death Rattle, MUNA, The Knife
NYC-based Dady is comprised of singer/songwriter Rachel Dady and songwriter/producer Jesse O’Connor.
Born from enemies, these two have somehow put their differences apart and now create delicate dream pop for the masses. ‘Failing’ effortlessly switches between tender moments and an anthemic hook.
Sounds like: Carly Rae Jepsen, Paperwhite, Taylor Swift, Haim
With it’s deceiving upbeat melody, Born Stranger‘s new single ‘Last Night on Earth’ is surprisingly about the sad topic of suicide.
An ode to those who have left our planet too soon, this track urges you to celebrate, live in the moment and be compassionate with each other.

Dublin disco-noir trio Sleep Thieves shares new single ‘Sea of Shadows’.
With the song’s minimal lyrical attitude and looping darkly ethereal synths full of nostalgia that completely immerse your mind, it’s hard to believe the threesome met on Twitter.
Continuing to break boundaries with their new single is Icelandic band, Vök.
Vök is Margrét Rán (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Andri Enoksson (saxophone, synths) and Ólafur Alexander (guitar, bass). Named after the Icelandic word for ‘hole in the ice’, the trio hail from Hafnarfjörður.
‘Breaking Bones’ is a sci-fi extravaganza of down tempo electro and a spectrum of sounds and emotions.
Their debut album, ‘Figure’ is out on 28 April.

Our favourite quirky indietronica duo, Cash + David, return with the first track from their forthcoming EP ‘Side I’, which will be released on 15 April.
‘Alright Now’ is an ethereal psychedelic track, of which the pair explain;
“We’ve been waiting for a call from the mothership, getting ready to bring four different types of smoke, we got the call and this is the first… Alright Now”
Sounds like: Jagwar Ma, Poliça, Sleigh Bells, BOY, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Monogem, Death Rattle, Gengahr, The XX
Fraea are an juxtaposing duo comprised of Jessie Daley and Drew Preiner.
Fraea’s name has been stylised on Freyja, the goddess of beauty, love and sex, but also death, war and the underworld. On the one side, their sound fits into the bubblegum pop genre, but on the other, it’s dark electronica.
Regardless of their genre, the music of Fraeahas been formed following years and years of scribbling passionate and lonely love songs on notebook pages, and we think that is somewhat bittersweet.
Fraea will play their second ever show on 2 March with POLIÇA at Turf Club in St. Paul, MN.
Their debut EP, ‘Bend Your Bones’ will be out on 29 April.
Taking it down a notch, the girls draw deeper into their musical souls to create more of a minimal sound, but one that still has the discernible, powerful lead vocals we love.
‘Detune’ is the first single to be taken from their second EP.
Sounds like: Aquilo, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Human League, VÉRITÉ, Salt Ashes, Evvy, Monogem, Paperwhite, Chvrches, Palmedo, Prinze George, Nina Yasmineh, Day Wave, Poliça, Rhye, MS MR, Roisin Murphy
Isolated creatives and goth-pop duo, GEMS, return with brooding new gem ‘Living as a Ghost’.
Recognisable vocals and distorted synths, GEMS are very much alive.
