Paris Carney – Send A Prayer

Paris Carney

Paris Carney

Los Angeles-based Paris Carney is sending a prayer out to all of those suffering.

The track was written following her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis in early last year, as well Carney’s consideration of how fragile the state of the world currently is.

As with all of Carney’s music, ‘Send A Prayer’ conveys a notable passion through her use of heartfelt lyrics and vocal tone that continues to invite us to join Carney amongst her closest thoughts and feelings.

Proceeds from the single sale will be donated to the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. Purchase on iTunes here.

Paris Carney – It’s Always the Quiet Ones

The hot new girl in LA town seems to be Paris Carney who has popped up on the indietronica radar with new single, ‘It’s Always The Quiet Ones’, a summery, dreamy track with soft, layered vocals, and a complex and interesting array of electronic instruments progressing throughout the track.

The track was written and recorded in her Los Angeles apartment and mixed by Jesse String. It’s a stylish and elegant track, showing off Paris’ production skills in what must have been an impressive home studio. She comments that “I wrote this song in my kitchen as I was making dinner, it literally was written in it’s entirety in about a 30 minute period. I was reflecting my experience in the music industry and how people try to change everything about you. I really hope this inspires people to remain true to who they are … You’re better that way!”

The photo shows Paris flashing her diamond and wedding rings, clearly proud to be married whilst still as independent and stylish as ever.

Currently being distributed as a free download, listen to (and download) ‘It’s Always the Quiet Ones’ below.

NONONO- Hungry Eyes

Swedish trio NONONO have been swiftly getting noticed around the world, making melodic tuneful electro-pop, which has even been picked up by major TV adverts.

The latest release is ‘Hungry Eyes’, a track from their upcoming debut studio album, ‘We Are Only What We Feel’. ‘Hungry Eyes’ is a stark, marching progressive song, with a hint of sadness and yearning…

You may have come across NONONO before with their anthemic whistle-laden catchy jam ‘Pumpin Blood’.

Claire – Broken Promised Land

Describing themselves as somewhere between synthpop, electronic-pop, half-time beats, hip-hop and indie, Claire intially statrted off as three Munich-based young musicians and producers; Matthias Hauck, Nepomuk Heller and Florian Kiermaier. Singer/songwriter, Josie-Claire Bürkle joined at the beginning of 2012 and a drummer known as Fridl was later recruited for their live shows. The brilliant band we now know as Claire was finally formed!

We have ‘Broken Promised Land’ on repeat in the Indietronica office and you can thank BMW for introducing this track to us, as it has been featured on the advert for their new electric cars.

We aren’t really sure where to begin. This track is just so good. With its typically German-driving industrial beat and melodic vocals from Josie-Claire Bürkle, this is the ideal indietronica track that will make you feel sky high.

For good measure, we’ve posted the incredible Passion Pit remix of ‘Games’ below. It has also been added to our November playlist.

You can buy the ‘Broken Promised Land’ EP on iTunes now. Or we strongly recommend you bite the bullet and go for the whole album, ‘The Great Escape (special Edition)’, which was released in September 2013 and is also available for purchase on iTunes.
