Rob Bravery – You Take Half

Rob Bravery – You Take Half

What’s half of nothing? Well, “nothing” you might answer, but that isn’t strictly true with our next act, Rob Bravery, who is altering perspectives on ‘You Take Half’.

Idiosyncratic in nature, and already drawing comparisons to Porishead and Massive Attack, the video for ‘You Take Half’ follows Rob as he battles with the desire to succeed without compromising in some form or another.

Warning. The scenes in the video will be very familiar to those who have witnessed, or been party to, a disintegration of some sort.

‘You Take Half’ is the lead track from his upcoming EP, out on 2 September via Insanity / Sony Music an available for pre-order on iTunes here.

Rob has worked with Sneaker Pimps‘, Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Lana Del Rey) on the EP.

Sounds like: Portishead, Radiohead, Massive Attack

Belgrave – Dancing In The Silence

Belgrave

Belgrave

Belgrave is 24-year-old Londoner, Laurie Belgrave.

Having played in various indie bands around South East London from the age of 16, Laurie became frustrated at having to shout over noisy guitars and decided on a change in direction. From the retreat of a seaside cabin in Cornwall, Laurie began writing and producing on his own. These honest recordings captured the raw emotion of a young man finding his voice.

Liam Howe (FKA Twigs, Jessie Ware, Lana Del Rey) shared Laurie’s vision and has been a collaborator on the stripped-back project ever since, culminating in him producing the three tracks that make up his debut EP, ‘Echoes’.

‘Dancing in the Silence’ is the first track from the EP:

The ‘Echoes EP’ is out on 17 July.

Sounds like: Alex Clare, James Blake, Yeasayer, Depeche Mode, Fyfe, Ben Khan, Shura
