ALL THE REST

All The Rest shares addictive new single ‘Backburner’.

Starting with a simple bassline, it’s not long until Baylee Waller’s falsetto vocals kick in, elevating the already smooth number into a contagious overdose of funk n soul.

Formed by four best friends in a basement just south of Atlanta – most famously known as the filming location of The Walking Dead – All The Rest captures the complexity of life’s ups, downs, and complete blindsides with a unique sense of rhythm. Their lyrics are honest and tell stories of their attempt to get through their youth while capturing the essence of those who are “all the rest” of society.

Speaking about their latest single, Baylee explains, “I wanted to write a song about the people who just want to use me. The kind of people who only hit you up when they want something from you. When you have nothing to offer, you’re nothing to them.”

Exciting new talent, Akurei shares his new single ‘Stockholm’.

Conjured up during his solo trip across Europe, ‘Stockholm’ was actually written on his phone in a hostel in Berlin, and covers the topic of loneliness and the longing for a connection to encounter while travelling alone.

New Swedish band on the block, Vola Tila comes straight out of the gate armed with an infectious yet emotional account of “a loss of oneself”. Full of energy, and a heady blend of pop and indie, fusing synths, guitars and both live and programmed drums, the recently formed pair take influence from a crossover of genres, each with a background in production and composing for other artists.

Fully obsessed with music, Johannes Henriksson and Richard Andersson have spent almost every day in the studio together creating their new EP, recorded in collaboration with Sonic Boom (MGMT, Panda Bear, Spacemen 3) and Swedish producer Charlie Storm (Håkan Hellström).

Leaone – Prairie Fires

Meet Leaone (pronounced ‘Lee-own’).

After landing support from the Arts Council England’s International Development fund, Leaone found himself working from Transmitter Park Studios in Brooklyn New York, alongside multi-instrumentalist and producer Tom Marsh (of Lana Del Rey’s band) and Abe Seiferth (Yeasayer, Bears In Heaven, James Murphy), on a body of new material.

The result is ‘Prairie Fires’, a deeply devastatingly emotive song that Leaone wrote at a time when he had to leave behind a blossoming romance.
