Well, this is a cool story about Elektrisk Gønner.
The project was originally formed in 2010 when producer Benjamin Løzninger teamed up with a young unknown Danish singer named MØ to record an album remotely over the course of 12 days from either side of the Atlantic Ocean.
As we know, MØ then went on to be signed to Sony, following which Benjamin relocated to Brooklyn and recruited singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and model Skyler Cocco for the new Elektrisk Gønner line-up.
One of the new tracks is called ‘Money’ and it’s out now via Kaleidoscope / Nordic Records.

Introducing Los Angeles-based duo LAYNE (aka lead-singer/guitarist Layne Putnam and drummer Alex Rosca).
Their new song ‘The Fog’ follows on from the viral success of their previous two singles, ‘Good’ and ‘Somebody’, and has everything you’d want from a decent electro pop track – lush vocals, bright lyrics, and catchy hooks sculptured around modern production.
Moscow based Boneage share curious new track ‘G.N.P.M’ which stands for ‘Good Nights – Pale Mornings’. It follows on from the spiritual single, ‘Crystal Rainbows’.
Speaking to the duo, we were told ‘G.N.P.M’ is about MDMA (also the name of their EP – ‘My Dreams Mean All’, out now) – that feeling you have when you are high, followed by the downward spiral of reality the following morning.
Los Angeles-based songstress, Nina Luna, has just shared ‘String’.
It’s about the anguish of a romantic connection that cannot be fulfilled. You know the type where you can’t sleep at night thinking about this person over and over again. You can really feel the torment through Nina and co-producer CATALINE‘s use of synths and orchesttral percussion.
If indulgence is what London-based Anteros have for breakfast, then ‘The Beat’ is the champagne-fuelled brunch that follows shortly after.
Anteros are offering us yet another fabulous video. Again, the focus is on front woman, Laura Hayden, but this time the scenes flip between heavenly shots of Laura lying on a bed, and disco-fevered ones of Laura dancing in a red and purple lit dancehall.
‘The Beat’ is taken from their forthcoming second EP ‘Breakfast’, due out on 19 September via Kissability.

Inspired by the likes of The xx and Shura (they share the same drummer live) Jemima describes her debut Liquorice EP as being about “Relationships, terrible nights out and her early experiences of the record industry.”
‘Liquorice is a song about trying to please other people, and then drifting off into this imaginary world to try and please yourself. I wrote this at a time when I was putting a lot of pressure on myself. I think women especially feel like they should look a certain way or try to be something else, and I was definitely feeling it that day. The video is a fantastic testament to the song, I instantly fell in love with 2Doors (the directors) vision – it’s vibrant and colourful, slightly weird and quirky and most importantly it’s fun and it doesn’t take itself too seriously – which is something I’m a firm believer of :)’
‘Liquorice’ has been taken from her debut EP of the same name released on 17 June via Sunday Best.
