With a cool name, Yazmyn Hendrix takes Ed Sheeran’s lead and uses her voice with a loop pedal to create magical music.

Her new single ‘Be Me’ is taken off her upcoming EP named ‘Saturn Returns’ and is her first break-up song, and subsequent coming out song.

Welsh musician, Ani Glass (also a former member of indie-pop group The Pipettes) shares the visuals for her new single, ‘Mirores’ – the title track from her forthcoming debut album, released in March.

The quirky and illuminating visuals wouldn’t go amiss in a Petit Meller or Yelle music video, as she shares a journey from dark desperation to motivation and inspiration.

We recently discovered rising pop-star, Harlee and we haven’t been able to get enough of her stunning debut four-track EP, ‘It’s Personal’.

Since working with producer Matt Ingram (Florence & The Machine, Lianne La Havas, Laura Marling), Pancaldi has really got down to business honing her sound and adding more grit to her already heart-felt songwriting skills.

On ‘Peace’, Pancaldi states,

“A challenge at first but now an exhilarating awakening having discovered and then explored the electric guitar. ‘Peace’ is my first ‘foot stomper’ track which I think will surprise listeners who’ve been on the journey with me so far. It feels a bold evolution for me so here we go.”

Wow, this is one GIANT sound from a little lady known as Harlee.

Originally from Cheshire, Harlee has gained a local and international reputation for penning fantastic pop tracks and putting on exciting gigs. She signed to NYC-based label, 5Towns Records (ADA/Warner), at just 15.

Skip forward a few years, and Harlee is releasing ‘GIANT’, a gem of a single that effortlessly flickers between pop and dance universes, written about a colossal and limitless love.

Wildlife Festival returns for its third year at Shoreham Airport. Headed up by Disclosure and Black Butter Records, expect this be the most fun year yet, not just because you now have an excuse to take the Friday off, but because the line up is quite simply awesome.

The sound and emotional depth of the late teen prove that she is undeniably wise and confident beyond her years, and it’s therefore no wonder that she’s been picked to play Wildlife amongst such other great acts.

Draper – Jealous (Feat BB Diamond)

No doubt there is skill in creating a great pop track, but there is also skill in sourcing up and coming artists to collaborate with, and the latter is where UK producer, Draper, really shows his A-game.

Draper has just dropped ‘Jealous’, featuring the talents of singer, BB Diamond.

It’s an electronic tinged track with soulful vocals and a uplifting chorus…enough to make any other producer pretty jealous.

‘Jealous’ is out today via M:UK, and taken off his upcoming EP, ‘Luminous’, out on 13 January 2017.

The EP also includes Draper’s recent track with Sam Sure. Watch the video below.

Vaults, a trio from London, release the optimistic ‘Midnight River’ following their run of supports for Jack Garratt.

The video, which appears to have a underlying theme of freedom and empowerment, was filmed in an abandoned school, with awesome choreography to illustrate one hell of a trippy journey.

No remixes this time, just disco-based ‘Small Talk’ from Ekkah; an illuminating duo from Birmingham, comprising of Rebecca and Rebekah.

The single was produced by Tourist and is their first release since being signed to Sony/RCA.

The track is an emotive and neon-lit blend of arching melodies, colorful synths, reverberant handclaps and disco groove, with a video to match.

Focusing on more of an electronic production, 22 year old Frances (of ‘Grow’ fame) is back with ‘Borrowed Time’.

It was written with Howard Lawrence from Disclosure in his garden studio at home in London and sees Frances stretching herself vocally.

The result is gorgeous silky vocals and emotive minimal piano chords wrapped around a funky and glittery chorus.

It is out on 15 January via Capitol Records.

Dua Lipa – Be The One

Dua Lipa is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from London. She makes husky discotronica.

Dua grew up surrounded by music and cites an eclectic mix of inspiration spanning generations from Tupac to Action Bronson, Bob Dylan and David Bowie, to Alt-J.

Following on from ‘New Love’, which was produced by Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, FKA Twigs), and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), is ‘Be The One’. The direction and intent of Dua’s sound is more clear to listeners with this second track, showing a tactical (and very wise) move by the youngster.
