Liv Dawson

Lovely Londoner, Liv Dawson, is one of our favourite newcomers from 2016.

Draper – Jealous (Feat BB Diamond)

Draper

Draper

No doubt there is skill in creating a great pop track, but there is also skill in sourcing up and coming artists to collaborate with, and the latter is where UK producer, Draper, really shows his A-game.

Draper has just dropped ‘Jealous’, featuring the talents of singer, BB Diamond.

It’s an electronic tinged track with soulful vocals and a uplifting chorus…enough to make any other producer pretty jealous.

‘Jealous’ is out today via M:UK, and taken off his upcoming EP, ‘Luminous’, out on 13 January 2017.

The EP also includes Draper’s recent track with Sam Sure. Watch the video below.

Catch Draper playing the Camden Assembly in London on 13 December. Limited tickets still available here.

Sounds like: Pistol Shrimp, Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, Jess Glynne, Katy B, Ella Henderson, Rita Ora, All Saints

Vaults – Midnight River

Vaults

Vaults

Vaults, a trio from London, release the optimistic ‘Midnight River’ following their run of supports for Jack Garratt.

The video, which appears to have a underlying theme of freedom and empowerment, was filmed in an abandoned school, with awesome choreography to illustrate one hell of a trippy journey.

Frances

Focusing on more of an electronic production, 22 year old Frances (of ‘Grow’ fame) is back with ‘Borrowed Time’.

Dua Lipa – Be The One

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from London. She makes husky discotronica.

Dua grew up surrounded by music and cites an eclectic mix of inspiration spanning generations from Tupac to Action Bronson, Bob Dylan and David Bowie, to Alt-J.

Following on from ‘New Love’, which was produced by Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey, FKA Twigs), and Andrew Wyatt (Miike Snow), is ‘Be The One’. The direction and intent of Dua’s sound is more clear to listeners with this second track, showing a tactical (and very wise) move by the youngster.
