Jamie T – Power Over Men

Jamie-T

Jamie-T

Annnd Jamie T is back.

Working again with Tom Beard (who directed ‘Tinfoil Boy’), the video for his new single, ‘Power Over Men’, explores the day-to-day life of a middle-aged dominatrix.

It’s quintessentially a Jamie T song, with its sharp, witty lyrics, and subtle reggae rhythms.

‘Power Over Men’ is taken from Jamie T’s forthcoming fourth album, ‘Trick’, out on 2 September.

Alex Brittan – (Can’t) Relax

Alex Brittan

Alex Brittan

Alex Brittan is an Australian-based, self-acclaimed “songwriter, producer & pop fanatic”.

We first fell in love with Alex’s sound listening to ‘Thirsty Bird’, which can be found on our April playlist.

His latest track ‘(Can’t) Relax’ is (according to Alex) about being stuck in a relationship where you’re Sandra Bullock and the other person is OUTER SPACE!

Whoever and whatever the track is about, it’s a great introduction to Alex’s sound.

Listen below and enjoy!

Little Comets – Ex Catherdra

Little Comets

Little Comets

Time for some music on home grown soil.

Little Comets is an English indie folk trio from Jarrow and Washington, Tyne and Wear.

‘Ex-Cathedra’ is one of the tracks on the band’s ‘The Sanguine EP’ and is latin for ‘from the seat’. The track was written with the idea that we shouldn’t accept certain moral codes or reasoning simply because of their religious source.

Pre-order new album, ‘Hope Is Just A State of Mind’ here. The pre-order is accompanied by lots of personalised EP/LP options and gig experiences and it is also the only way you can own a limited edition personalised copy of Little Comet’s new release, ‘The Sanguine EP’.

Sounds like: The 1975, Bastille, Jack Peñate, Yeasayer, Mike & The Mechanics, Simple Minds, Peter Gabriel
