Blanche – Till We Collide

BLANCHE

Belgium alt-pop starlet Blanche releases her new single, ‘Till We Collide’, taken from her debut album, ‘EMPIRE’, both out now.

The album is a collection of thoughts and feelings, prepared whilst working alongside the best in the business. All the tracks on ‘EMPIRE’ have been written or co-written by Ellie Delvaux, recorded between London and Brussels and co-produced by Rich Cooper (Banks, Mystery Jets, Lucy Rose) and François Gustin (Girls In Hawaii).

So, take some time out, listen and digest the album in order, in one sitting, from start to finish.

It’s once again, inventive melancholic pop that, deep down, spreads a positive message. Speaking about the track, BLANCHE explains,

“Fences is this cheesy but forever important message: tear down the fences of rejection, open yourself to the other, accept and respect their differences; try and think with your heart.”

Playlist: Tep No

Tep No

Canadian producer, Tep No is one of our favs, and it’s been a minute since we last supported his music on the blog.

Exhilarating production of the highest order complemented by emotively tinged vocals from fellow music enthusiast, Joycelyn Alice, his new single ‘Never Been Hurt Before’ is another entry into the growing back catalogue of an exciting up and comer.

He’s put together an excellent playlist of his favourite tunes right now. Take a listen below.

Riah – Heartbreak Magic
Good engaging voice and nice 80’s production on it.

Grady – 500 Days of Summer
Interesting voice, high-end production on it.

Aalta, Lenachka – Closer Than Ever
Great immersive song, very dreamy

Elohim – TV
Very very distinct voice, really well carved out production and well thought out lyrics, everything gels so well. Lots of feeling in her voice and lyrics.

Toro Y Moi – Balance (Feat. Washed Out)
What can I say, 2 of my favorite artists ever, and what drove me for the longest time. Dreamy song, it makes you feel like everything will be fine. And the song is 4:20 minutes long I mean.

Liyv – In My Guccis
Relatable, I work hard in my Guccis I mean. What else is there to say.

Noirre – numb
The production is so wild on this, so well done.

Broods – Peach
Amazing song, I can relate to the lyrics, I’ve listened to this 1000 times. The pre-chorus is insanely good.

bülow – Get Stupid
Really quirky song from fellow Torontonian. Great voice, catchy lyrics and clean production.

Hazey Eyes Feat. Moli – Hungover You
I’m always feeling hungover these days so I can relate. Nice natural-sounding vocals mixed with 80s production.

‘Never Been Hurt Before’ is out now on Ultra Music.

Playlist: Gryffin

Gryffin

Gryffin

Los Angeles-based producer/multi instrumentalist, Gryffin, has been going from strength to strength over the last couple of years.

We thought it was about time he put together a playlist for you lot.

Snakehips & MØ – Don’t Leave (Gryffin Remix)
I really love MØ’s raw emotion, and I wanted to be able to amplify in my own way with this remix but with a little bit of a twist from my normal style.

Louis The Child – Love Is Alive (feat. Elohim)
The Louis the Child guys have been on fire recently. “Love Is Alive” has their signature sound but in a indier direction.

RUFUS DU SOL – Innerbloom (What So Not Remix)
This remix is always awesome to play out in my DJ sets.

Illenium – Fractures (feat. Nevve)
Illenium is a great friend of mine and his new track “Fractures” shows exactly why he is one of the best future bass producers out there.

The xx – On Hold
The xx have been a favorite band of mine for a while. Really love this track off their new album.

Twenty One Pilots – Heavydirtysoul
TOP have the perfect blend of rock, electronic, and pop elements in their music. “Heavydirtysoul” is one of my favorite’s from their latest album.

Whethan – Savage feat. Flux Pavilion & MAX
Whethan is one of the most talented young producers out there and I was really excited when he released “Savage.”

San Holo – Light
“Light” is an unlikely crossover track but its been really cool to see it catch onto the commercial crowd.

Gryffin – Whole Heart (Young Bombs Remix)
Young Bombs absolutely crushed this remix of “Whole Heart.” Their Snapchat is hilarious too.

Mura Masa & A$AP Rocky – Love$ick
Mura Masa is hands-down one of the best producers out their. His collaboration with A$AP Rocky is the perfect blend of urban and dance.

Sizzy Rocket – Need Somebody

Sizzy Rocket

Sizzy Rocket

It was International Women’s Day on Tuesday, but every day is IWD as far as we are concerned.

Cue the video for ‘Need Somebody’ by Sizzy Rocket.

‘Need Somebody’ is a warm, synth number, showing a softer side of Sizzy. The video is romantic as hell, and features visual glitches similar to those of 90’s computer footage.

Sizzy has a real knack from switching between popstar and electro queen with a drop of a hat.

On that note, the candy pop track, ‘Thrills’, is also out today.

Check Sizzy out with all of her releases!

If you have a chance to listen to out her album when it’s out, do. It’s music that any respectable man would be proud to have created. Pre-order on iTunes here.

Sounds like: Evvy, Blood Orange, ASTR, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Elohim, Rihanna, Taylor Swift
