Everywhere – Man Up

Everywhere

UK based band Everywhere share their bright new number, ‘Man Up’, which features vocals by Swedish singer/songwriter Rebecca Nohr.

The band’s name is inspired by the quote “Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere” by former Cosmopolitan editor Helen Gurley Brown. Having already played the NME Awards alongside Django Django and Palma Violets, and supporting the Kaiser Chiefs, we suspect Everywhere fit into the latter part of category.

Hardly casual, the track considers what it’s like to be a man in the modern world, delving into themes about unfulfilled expectations.

Expect an album later this year.

Loved Ones – End Of An Error

Loved Ones - End Of An Error

Meet your new Loved Ones (FKA Seal Cub Clubbing Club).

The Liverpool band could be described as ambient rock, with tinges of electronica and piano composition thrown in there too.

Lead singer Nik Glover explains about their track ‘End Of An Error’,

“We tried to turn our traditional song structure on its head in End of an Error, piling all the melodies into the verse and letting the chorus speed past with hardly any vocals. It’s a song about naive teenage love and regret, and why sometimes ripping up all your memories of a relationship is better than trying to hold on to it.

Their second album, ‘Harness’ will be out soon.

Fwar – Everybody

Following on from the catchy, ‘Nobody’, shapeshifter and musician, Fwar, shares the video for opposing track, ‘Everybody’.

Industrial twangs and minimalistic layers of Eastern tendencies, the video was choreographed by Barnaby Booth and edited by Isaac Eastgate (LA Priest, Kindness, Django Django).

Fwar says that, “Everybody is about allowing yourself the freedom to form a new identity by flirting with alternative outlooks, seeking new experiences & becoming alien to all that you took for granted. Nothing compares to being able to look at life with the curiosity of a child.”
