Bright Sparks – Slow Motion

Bright Sparks

Bright Sparks

Bright Sparks share another catchy and shimmering electro pop number, called ‘Slow Motion’.

It perfectly encapsulates that feeling when a relationship makes you feel numb and spaced out, perhaps because one person wants more from it than the other.

Alongside the awesome ‘Wildfire‘, ‘Slow Motion’ appears on their debut EP, out later in the year.

Sounds like: Disclosure, Years & Years, Aluna George, Salt Ashes, Lxury, LA Priest, TCTS, Karma Kid, Le Youth, Moon Boots, Friend Within, Feist, Ben Khan, Oh Wonder

Chris Malinchak – Happiness (Featuring Kaleem Taylor)

Chris Malinchak

Chris Malinchak

Always on the search for ‘Happiness’, we think we may have just found it in the new single from Chris Malinchak, featuring upcoming UK-based singer, Kaleem Taylor.

Although Chris is a house producer by heart, and whilst ‘Happiness’ undoubtly has the Malinchak vibe that was found in the hit, ‘So Good To Me’, the addition of Kaleem Taylor’s neo soul vocals adds a new electronic dimension.

Sounds like: MNEK, Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Le Youth, Tensnake

Bright Sparks – Wildfire

Bright Sparks - Wildfire

Bright Sparks – Wildfire

Whilst the sound of Bright Sparks might be familiar (they’ve been featured on tracks with Sam Feldt and MÖWE), ‘Wildfire’ is their first ever solo release.

Already working with high flyers (the track has also been produced by Years & Years producer Andy Smith (aka Lxury)), ‘Wildfire’ offers that flying electro pop that we love at Indietronica.

Bright Sparks will release their EP in early 2017.

Sounds like: Disclosure, Years & Years, Aluna George, Salt Ashes, Lxury, LA Priest, TCTS, Karma Kid, Le Youth, Moon Boots, Friend Within, Feist, Ben Khan, Oh Wonder

James Hersey – Miss You

James Hersey

James Hersey

Vienna is a hotpot for dance-led indietronica, and one particular artist who has come to our attention (along with 15 million others, as shown by his Spotify figures) is James Hersey.

Growing up on a recipe of guitars and Michael Jackson, it comes at quite a surprise that James would produce music with such balearic vibes.

James is not afraid of mixing genres, or getting his hands dirty, either; the video for ‘Miss You’ has been co-edited by Hersey himself and directed/shot by Schall & Schnabel in Berlin.

‘Miss You’ was produced with Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran) and mixed by Stephen Fitzmaurice (Sam Smith, Disclosure), with and is out via Glassnote Records.

Honne have also given the track some remix treatment, which you can listen to below.

Sounds like: Gryffin, Honne

Norde – Missing You Ft. Lucas Nord

Norde

Norde

When two Swedes team up, it is dynamite.

Norde has been vibing off of Lucas Nord‘s sound for some time, so decided to make a collaboration happen.

The result is ‘Missing You’; an upbeat electro pop track that remains tireless, regardless of how many times you play it.

Alpines by Cyrus Mahboubian

Alpines by Cyrus Mahboubian

London electronic duo, Alpines, are back with the sultry video for ‘Completely’.

Continuing to bleed creativity, Alpines have managed to toe the delicate balance between commercial melodic sensibilities on the one hand (with big, bold and relatable vocals), and cerebral leftfield sounds on the other.

Watch below.

Sounds like: Jamie xx, Kiesza, Jessie Ware, Clare Maguire, Years & Years, Clean Bandit, Gorgon City, London Grammar, Disclosure, ASTR, Ballet School, SOHN, Banks, Shura, The Maccabees
