Nor-Cal born singer, songwriter and producer Zak Leever has been finding himself through music since the age of five. As a classically trained jazz pianist, the majority of his childhood was spent behind the keyboard, leading to touring with small groups and winning national jazz competitions.
While attending Berklee School of Music, Zak launched an electronic project that earned support from Radio1 BBC, SiriusXM and Apple Music Beats Radio.
Now based in LA, Zak is ramping up for multiple releases in 2021 expanding his distinct sound. The first of them is titled “Space For Me” and it’s a powerful electro-pop cut you shouldn’t miss.
NY via Texas Reyn Hartley croons on his brand new single ‘Bow‘ and brings forward a sound you’ve never heard, evolving the space in a sonic world that is entirely his own.
The independent artist (who’s gained internet fame with his song ‘Snitch‘ racking in over 30 million streams across DSPs) grew up listening to doo wop and other classics at home with his mom and would go to school and listen to rap all day with his friends. Those heterogenous influences here make the pair with a very personal vocal resulting into an addictive tune you shouldn’t miss.
Hartley is currently working on his debut LP ‘Georgia‘. The story behind this title it’s something you wanna hear. Georgia, in fact, is the daughter of one of the most notorious drug lords in American (and international) history, for the privacy of all involved Hartley created the name “Georgia” as a pseudonym. The two met in Texas while attending school before dropping out and have spent what Hartley describes as an incredibly beautiful but toxic five years together.
The bedroom songwriter and multi-instrumentalist produces his music in his Agoura Hills bedroom, but despite this, his music would easily resonate in a decent sized venue.
When asked what influenced the first new batch of Maudlin Strangers music since the Overdose EP, Hays cited that it was created by being constantly immersed in a world of his own songs, growing and developing the sound based on the progression of the demos and coined this new phase of Maudlin Strangers as “dark disco”.

Pop soulstress V V Brown has teamed up with Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke for the new version of ‘Faith’.
The track was originally featured on Brown’s ‘Samson & Delilah’ LP, which has a darker and edgier approach in comparison to her first album. This is thanks to Mercury Award winning producer Dave Okumu, who co-produced the LP with Brown.
The new version of the track is released on 28 April via YOY Records and can be pre-ordered on iTunes.
