Constance – If hell’s where you aren’t, that’s where I wanna be

constance if hell

Singer/songwriter Christina Ann O’Connor aka Constance has recently released a brand-new single titled “If hell’s where you aren’t, that’s where I wanna be

With quirky indie pop production, chugging guitar and satirical lyrics, the song is about that shitty ex you couldn’t get far enough away from. Edgy but ultra-catchy at the same time, this is a summer bop you shouldn’t miss.

The single will be followed up by an exclusive NFT drop in collaboration with Illustrator artist Shoko Yanagisawa June 4th on OpenSea. A 1/1 collectable piece that includes unlockable content of the vocal acapella, in which the NFT owner can use to make their own remix of the song.

Speaking about the song, she explains: “I wrote this song in a very challenging time in my life. Post breakup, it felt like my entire world was falling around me as I slowly realized how toxic and unhealthy the relationship became until it came to a closing point where I just wanted to run as far away as possible. Despite the heaviness of the moment I wanted the song to stay in a light, sarcastic space and capture the sentiment that despite the circumstance or the feeling in the moment, everything in the end is going to be okay. Alongside the hurt and grief, was the opportunity to lean on close friends and family and really flourish many beautiful relationships in my life. And truly, after rain comes rainbows.

About the video, director Littil Swayamp said: “Everyone has someone or something they’d metaphorically rather be in hell than with. This music video showcases four different characters stories capturing their struggle and journey to find peace. This fun and lighthearted film is meant to remind us that if it’s not okay in the end, it’s not the end.
