Adam Jensen has many stories to tell about bar brawls, stabbings, guns and gangsters in his home city of Boston, but music has literally saved his life, having always being a central part of him from the age of nine, when he started playing piano.
Turning the negative into a positive has helped Adam get through some tough times, which probably explains the upbeat tone of his darkly-written songs.
His new single ‘DRUGS’ is not necessarily about drugs per se, but still shows signs of an addiction. We suspect it involves a girl.
Have a listen below, and we guarantee your heads will be bopping throughout.
Sounds like: Sam Feldt, The Him, Hotel Garuda

Rachel Thomasin is a 20-something vocalist, songwriter, and producer from Boston who crafts infectious and atmospheric pop music. She has been self-releasing music and performing since 2012.
Reminiscent of Marina & The Diamonds, her track ‘Love Echoes On’ is full of strong vocals, an eclectic variety of synths, samplers, and instruments, including a panpipe addition (which we love).
The track has been taken from her generous 13 track album, ‘Constellations’, which is available for streaming on Rachel’s Soundcloud and to purchase on her Bandcamp.
Sounds like: Marina & The Diamonds, Charli XCX, Nina Yasmineh

Time for some gentle indietronica to wake you up this morning.
It’s from an anonymous R&B group, straight out of Berklee College of Music, who go by the name of luhx..
With the aim to get an unbiased opinion of their music, they have hidden the luhx. project from their friends and family.
‘Stay for the Night’ has an ambient jazz vibe, and is definitely one for fans of OH Wonder and the like.
Sounds like: OH Wonder, Cleopold, Fickle Friends, Jack Garratt, Sylvan Esso, Allen Stone

Given that Pale Hands released a full length debut album back in October 2014, it’s somewhat miraculous that the Boston duo haven’t attracted more attention.
Lush, buoyant vocals dance over echo laden guitars and synths to create an electro pop that nestles neatly between the likes of Crystal Castles and Chvrches, only slowed down somewhat to intensify the experience.
‘Fanatic’ is the lead single from the album ‘Spirit Lines’, which was evidently born from a period of pain and suffering. Spacious tracks accompany dark lyrics to create the kind of atmospheric indietronica that we at the Bristol Beats Club and Indietronica simply can’t get enough of.

Sounds like: Cocteau Twins, Chvrches, David Lynch, Crystal Castles, Glass Animals
