Noé – Rabbit Hole

Noé

Berklee grad Noé shares her blissed-out new single, ‘Rabbit Hole’.

Whilst the song still contains a glimpse of her limitless energy, the main focus is a more raw and free flowing vibe than we are used to. Call it her Frankenstein song.

Noé’s forthcoming debut EP ‘ibynoé’ is set for release on 21 May.

Sounds like: Yelle, Noosa, RALPH, Sigrid, Fiona Apple, VÉRITÉ, Izzy Bizu

Le Youth – I Could Always Feat. MNDR

Le Youth

Los Angeles-based producer Le Youth releases a slightly surprising more chilled out track than usual, featuring talented American producer, singer, songwriter MNDR who has worked with the likes of Mark Ronson, RAC and Flume.

Speaking of the track, Le Youth explains,

“…Creatively speaking, ‘I Could Always’ is a bit different from the other songs I’ve put out. It’s not dance and it’s not pop. The music, vocal, and video come together to create a vibe that’s hard to describe, but you just get it… That’s how I knew this needed to come out. I’m so excited to share this one.”

It’s out now via Parametric/Atlantic Records.

Sounds like: RAC, Pink Feathers, Mark Ronson

Kitten – Like A Stranger

KITTEN

KITTEN

There is some good music coming out of Los Angeles at the moment.

Glittering pop band KITTEN are planning on releasing their debut, self-entitled album this coming June and we thought we’d write a cheeky post about the leading track off the album called ‘Like A Stranger’.

There is no doubting that the post punk inspired video showcases front woman Chloe Chaidez’s oozing sex appeal, but it rightfully doesn’t distract from the track itself; full of 80’s sounding heavy synths with a rocky edge and catchy lyrics.

Pre-order KITTEN’s debut, self-entitled album on iTunes now.

Sounds like: Ronika, Indiana, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, Ballet School, Lights, La Roux, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, The Cure

Rae Morris

Rae Morris

Lovely 19 year old Rae Morris is from Blackpool, UK.

You may recognise Rae’s voice from Bombay Bicycle Club‘s single ‘Luna’, however she is talented in her own right.

The video for her new track ‘Skin’ (directed by Nadia Marquard Otzen) is pure and simple as a bodyless Rae sings amongst marbled shadows.
