Introducing bold newcomer Lui Hill.
Brought up by a musical mother, it was in fact his nomadic father who led his creativity flair into music.
“He taught me how necessary travel is,” Hill elaborates. “It helps you understand how beautiful and varied this world is, and its occupants and cultures. It helps you stay flexible and open-minded, and to get a different, more focused view about what we have and what we lack.”
This idea of movement and distance is a theme that runs throughout Hill’s self-titled debut album, which features ‘Revolver’ – a song which exudes pain, pleasure, suffering and relief, emotions that Hill tackles head on.
Hill’s five-part video series concludes with a live session for ‘Revolver’.
